| Hey Everyone, I hope that your day is going well. I'm just taking a moment to update while I'm on my lunch break. I had an eventful/non eventful weekend. I spend Saturday cooking. I made beef stew, my mom's cowboy soup and a chicken hotdish. This will keep me in lunches for the next few weeks. I also did some cleaning out and organizing. I have lots of clothes to start selling on e-bay. If you want to check out some of the stuff I'm currently selling, go to www.ebay.com and go to search by seller and select "knox55362." I don't know if some of the stuff I currently have will actually go, but its worth a try. Yesterday, I got together with my friend, Renee to quilt and made a fun little pillow. Danbears was working most of the weekend, but he and I met up to hang out last night and then go to Vespers at Bethel college. It was good to see him :)) We also went to Target, where I bought a new CD alarm clock after my old one went kaput. Remember when we went bowling a few weeks ago and I kept trying to wear this hat of his? After I got home, I realized he had slipped the hat into my Target bag. That was so cute. Hope you are all having a great Monday. I sometimes find myself getting the "Sunday night blues" with the idea that the weekend is over and I'm looking at another full week of work. Its usually not all so bad once I get into work. Have a good one! Ems | | |
| Feb 21, 2007 Hey Everyone. I figured it was time for an update, but this one will be short. Its been a long week. I am really tired tonight and lacking motivation. I need to just get some sleep. I have been kind of down in the dumps lately. I'm not sure exactly why. I am trying to be practical about things, but really want to get my writing career off the ground. Its all I've ever wanted to do with my life and the one thing that people tell me I'm really good at doing. I know that if I become successful enough to make a living at this, this would make me truly happy. I am also applying for some other jobs and looking at some other opportunities. I have days where I feel like I can conquer the world and others where things seem a little bit more convoluted. I guess thats just normal. I'm enjoying the warmer weather here, its been nice :)) I hope that you all have a fabulous day. I found this really great link below for making a little extra money. You just have to go to the link below and follow the instructions to sign up. You can get paid for reading e-mails and paid for the e-mails that other people read that you refer. You don't make a lot, but its really easy for a little cash. You just have to sign up and you'll receive e-mails in your e-mail box to read. Here's my referral link below. If the link doesn't work, just paste it in your browser. http://hits4pay.com/members/index.cgi?chellsie77 All the best!! Emilie | | |
| February 11, 2007 Hello everyone! Its Sunday night again, which means its back to the grind of work tommorow. By the time Sunday night rolls around I always ask myself how the weekend could have gone by so fast. I can always use another day. A three day weekend and a four day work week would be perfect. Things are going well for the most part. I have a busy day yesterday with a baby shower, brunch date and housewarming party all in one day. After church, I delivered some things to my friend, Melissa, to sell on ebay, ran a few errands and then went to the gym. I came home and made my Bubble Up Pizza casserole to eat for the week. As strange as it sounds to some, I love to cook. Its actually therapeutic for me. I think partly because I feel as though I'm learning a lot and actually becoming somewhat good at it. I've also been doing more work on my writing. Thanks for those of you who got back to me on the coffee :))) Here's a couple more questions for anyone who wants to answer. Here are the points to ponder. Tell me about cooking. Do you like to cook? What is a favorite memory that you have related to cooking? Do you have a recipe to share with a favorite memory? This could be anything such as a certain meal or food that has become a tradition, a favorite food that you cook for special occasions, etc. etc. Do you have a really awesome story that you could share related to "Cooking Gone Bad?" Also for a project called "Normal People are Quirky, too," list five or six things about yourselves that are kind of quirky. Here goes mine: 1) I check gum and swallow it. (Sometimes five pieces within 20 minutes) 2) Ranch dressing and ketchup can be up ton almost anything. I put ketchup on eggs, ranch dressing on spaghetti or pasta... you get the idea 3) I love to clean my house. Actually, I enjoy seeing my house clean after I've worked hard to clean it. 4) I do the sniff test on my clothes. (If I've worn something once I smell the armpits to determine whether or not the article of clothing can be worn again or whether it needs to be washed before its next wearing). 5) I can be drinking Mountain Dew at 9:30 at night and sleep just fine. 6) I never coordinate my purse with my outfits. I have one big "utilitarian" purse in which I can put everything I might need. Now its your turn. Hee Hee | | |
| Hello Everyone. I know that my blog entries are few and far between these days. I just have to be "motivated" and in the right mood in order to put in an entry. Its been nearly three weeks since my last entry, wow! Life is going well, but busy. I have been putting in long days at work, which have left me pretty exhausted most days. Danbers and I are still dating. January 31st was our one monthaverary. Its been a very good month, though. He is such a sweetie, and I am blessed to have him in my life. My birthday was January 19th. I was able to celebrate with Danbers and my family. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Danbers' parents, too. I am looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend. Other than getting together with a friend for coffee tommorow morning, I really have nothing planned this weekend. I can't emphasize how RARE this is for me. After being on the go the last two weekends, I feel a though God is telling me that I need some time for the threee R's (Refresh, Relax, Renew). When I start off tired on Monday morning, it makes for a very looooong week.
Its also going to be super cold here in Minnesota. The high temps tommorow are not even going to reach zero. Yikes. It is a good weekend to stay in. Here's my tag for you all. Many of you know that my favorite beverage is coffee. What do you think of coffee. Do you like it? Does caffeine keep you up all night? What do you like in your coffee (cream, sugar, black, other) Have a great day!!! Ems
| January 14, 2006 I hope that everyone is having a great week. I have been fighting a cold the past couple of days and lacking in sleep. Thursday night, my boyfriend, Danbears, and I went to the TV studio where he used to work and were able to watch the newscast and meet some of his fun coworkers. Friday, I was able to get together with some friends for a "girls night." We had fun and talked about a lot of things OTHER THAN BOYS (contrary to what some people might think.) Saturday, was kind of a "random" day. I did some shopping, errands and napping. Sadly, I didn't have any energy to make it the gym. Danbears and I went to church today. He is so cute and really has a romantic side as I'm starting to see. After the service was over, he wanted to take me into the chapel. I couldn't figure out why at first, but he wanted to show me where we first met just over two years ago. It was kind of funny because he had come with my friend, Michelle, and some others to a Christmas concert at church. I chatted with Michelle for a few minutes, but didn't really talk Dan. We first connected at a game night a few months later. We later realized we "saw" each other a few months before we really met. He is truly awesome and I am blessed to have such a kind, sweet, considerate, man in my life :))). The next time we see each other will be Friday, which is my birthday. I'm not sure yet what he's planning, but as long as we're spending time together, thats all that matters to me. I have tommorow off from work, so I'm just going to get caught up on a few things that I need to do, including shoveling. We're getting some snow tonight, but Dan thinks the bulk of it will hit the southern part of the state, leaving my city with only two to three inches. I am off to bed soon to get some rest and maybe get over my kind of annoying cold. After my last blog, I've had a few requests for a better picture of Dan and me.
I think this one's a lot better. This was taken back in November when we were still in our "flirting with each other way too much to be just friends, but we're just friends (REALLY) stage."
